Also, what I didn’t mention in the video: because of Twitter’s character limitations, it can be hard to start/keep up a conversation with someone else. It’s also hard because you either have to retweet someone’s post or add their username in your post in order to maintain a conversation, otherwise what you’re saying could go by unnoticed. On the other hand, when you reblog something on Tumblr and add your own comments, the original poster can see that in their activity log, go directly to the updated post, and then reblog with another comment of their own, and so on and so on. In this way, I feel that Tumblr encourages interactions between users while Twitter is designed more for solo posts.
